I built this boat so I would have something small to rig with a junk sail. I expected it to be disposable when I started on it. But now that I built it and sailed it a few times I have this emotional attachment has been preventing me from stripping the hardware and cutting it up.

It is not a pretty boat and the sail is almost certainly too small, but it did sail last time I used it about 3 years ago. The hull has been stored upside down under my deck and looks just about the same as when I put it there. The rudder and tiller have been stored in my garage. The wood mast has no paint or varnish at all, but has been stored in my garage. I need the space under the deck and in the garage for other things, so the Puddle Duck has got to go.

If you tell me you will sail the boat at least once, and not just strip the hardware and sell it on ebay, then it is yours to pick up for free.

I have no way to transport it.

The boat has a date with a reciprocating saw on 29 May 2021.

Scott, Michigan a bit too far for me to pick up from Houston. But I would be interested in any plans, sails, etc that could be packaged and shipped if it's going under the saw. Wouldn't mind learning from it as you did.

    Carolyn,

I sent you a private message. If I cut the boat up, you can have the sail.
