A Junk rigged scow called Rosie G

    For those interested in scow bows, Yann Quenet designs are well worth checking out! They range from a few meters to about 10 meters (last I checked).

    I think he's on his second circumnavigation in tiny BALUCHON (image below). Lots of good YouTube on his journey.

    Of note is his DIY method of getting a rounded scow bow in a sheet ply boat...

    He builds a bulkhead set back from the bow. A box is built out forward from about the middle third with its forward and bottom faces being the curved scow bow in profile. This leaves two forward 'quarters' which he fills with foam blocks. These are shaped and rounded as desired before the whole is glassed over.

    All his scow hulls are readily adaptable to Junk Rig.

    Well, it seems that the boat is complete, launched and rigged. The boat itself looks interesting. But unfortunately, I think I'm seeing woefully undersized, flexible battens. Which seems to be the case, according to this blog entry:
