I reckon you're right - sailing is a wash out at the mo' unless you're a hardy Tyler type. I'm partial to McYouKnowWho's chups from time to time, but banning anything else in the stadium is marketing gone mad. 300 'enforcers' roam the nation from tomorrow to (try to) ensure that traders aren't using words etc that major sponsors use. I turned 60 a week ago and had quite a good party, including part of it on the boat. I think where was 6 of us in the cabin and another in the cockpit. The first of many parties I hope. I had all the cabin and nav lights on, so we did a bit of shed sailing.:D
I will have the rest of my blocks next week and I'm about to start building the cradle.

Well the keel is as fair as it's going to get and I'm waiting for the epoxy coat I put on yesterday to hard off so I can sand it back. I tried today but it just clogged the sanding disk. I would really like to have the primer on it this weekend. I've changed my mind about the Dynel, I'll save that for my tender, which I have yet to build. I've started buying the timber and fastenings for the cradle. Once that is done and it's supporting the boat then I can fit the keel. I made a few phone calls yesterday to Maritime Services to find out the boat registration process and mooring costs and availability. The application fee is $192 and if I get someone to do the mooring for me it's another $2,000. if I do it myself it's materials and the fee.
I'm starting to think that August is being optimistic as well.
