    The final keel bolt nut and washer was tightened up yesterday. I had to cut notch back into a frame to get it fitted. Today despite feeling bit wobbly (I have the Lurgy) the keel join was finished off with a few coats of primer, so another job done.

    The keel is now under the boat, had a bit of fun and took two attempts.
    But it's ready to fit on Thursday.

    One bloke I met who knew the design reckoned it could sail up a wall. With a 9' Beam as well I think you will be right Gary.

    That would be a stiff boat, has the same draft as my 35'er. Clearly yours is a performance machine!

    4'6" David. Where I'm standing is about a foot below the top of the cradle base. I'm 5'9".

    I see that your photo now shows you with the the waterline at about head-height. What's the designed draught of this class?

    It's taken longer than I thought it would but the boat is now high enough for the keel to fit underneath...very slow and fiddly job. I am now planning to do the bolt on next Thursday.
