What a small world it always seems to be!

I just wrote to Chris and Jessica Bray as well. Fingers crossed!

Funny you should ask. I was looking for info on Jim Dietz and his boat in my email folder today. No luck. Nothing on the web either.

I am almost certain we communicated but that email is locked up on another computer at the moment. When I get it out and transferred, I'll be able to go back quite far. Meanwhile...

    Small world, Jim!

The 14th  October 1995 I received the first letter from you, dated 7th October. You left an e-mail address in it, which let me send you my very first e-mail, only three days later. It took another two years until I got my own e-mail address.

Then on the 18th  October 1995 I received a letter from David M Chamberlin in Fairbanks, Alaska. That letter was dated 8th October. Earlier today, I scanned that letter and mailed it to Jonny to help him find Dave. I am sure he will soon have success.

    Cheers, Arne

PS: Have you any idea what happened to Jim Dietz and his NA29, Sirius?

According to this site, it was a David M. Chamberlin who owned her. And, she used to be called NO TIE. I remember that name from way back....

On April 10, 2011, Dave Chamberlin of "Pelican" posted a comment on Chris and Jess Bray's blog, YachtTeleport.com. I was not able to get his email address from that but if you contact Chris Bray he would probably be able to get that for you.

Dave/David  Chamberlin contacted me a number of years ago and I think he wrote from Fairbanks, Alaska. I suggest you google his name plus Alaska. I did that and got 3-4 hits.

    Hi everyone,

I took the plunge and bought Dave Chamberlin's old North Atlantic 29 !!! I now have 2 boats …YIKES.  I am very much looking forward to getting Pelican up and running. She needs a lot of work , but is an incredible, beautiful "purpose-built" boat.

The fellow I bought her from seems to have lost all contact info to Dave and his daughter . I am wondering if anyone here knows how to get ahold of him? I would LOVE to contact him and ask a few questions.  I would love to get some history on the boat …and especially ask him some detailed questions of projects that were never finished.

    Hopefully someone here know's him?

    thanks!

    Jonny
