Glad to report that the folios arrived safely.  Hopefully, they might be of some use, or interest, to others in the future.

They were purchased from Jock in 1983 as being the only in-depth source of information that I could find.  I wasn't disappointed.  However, my means were less than my dreams, so I landed up purchasing as Virgo Voyager in kit form.  Given outdoor space at the factory, to complete the fitting-out myself, before launching at Bridport, was a useful experience in the workings of Newbridge boats and the process of squeezing a quart into a pint pot.

I have never regretted the decision to select Junk rig, as the best all-round driver, for my sailing aspirations.

Many thanks to all who provide support, here and elsewhere - it is much appreciated.

    Regards Tim

Yes, thanks Tim, for your very kind gesture.   The folio will be a great complement to the McLeod Archive, which contains the master copies and developmental material to the folios.  As a complete folio, as released to the public, this will show us what was actually distributed.  Those who are interested (provided they are JRA Members) can see the folio material already digitised by our adept Webmaster, here.

Great that you thought to offer them, Tim.  For anyone who has never seen these folios, they are truly fascinating and a step back in time to the days of 'blueprints'.  Designing from the folios was, somehow, a real adventure: all those sheets of paper to unfold and pore over.  So different from a book that starts at page 1 and progresses in an orderly fashion!

    Hi Tim

We are maintaining an archive of Jock's papers - you could always mail them to me and we'll add them to the archive. It may be that your folio contains items we are missing.

    Hi all.

I have folios "Design Your Own Chinese Rig" Stage One and Stage Two, which were sold to me by Jock McLeod on 1983.

If anyone can suggest how I might dispose of these sensibly, to an interested party, it would be appreciated.  Complete and original, they are cluttering up some of the limited space on my boat.  I am just trying to gauge if there is any interest in these documents, for whatever reason.

    Any ideas welcome.

    Regards Tim
