Transported my Newbridge Coromandel SISKIN to the Netherlands these last few days. Blown outh tyre on the trailer after about 20km. Did 60km per hour from Flushing / Falmouth, UK to Huizen, The Netherlands. Quite a story but maybe some other time. Message her is that patience is a very strong force indeed!

The mast on SISKIN is a mystery.

Long story short - I'll replace it with a stick I know all the details about as it is too important for the boat to sail well. The entire contraption that was on her when I picked her up ways at least 60kg - seems way too much for a 6 meter boat with 18m2 of sail.

Now looking for original Coromandel mast specs (checked out the corribee site and yahoo group but haven't found the specs as yet) Looking for length, diametre, wall thickness and alumnium grade spec. Any input very much appreciated.

Will most likely go for an aluminum stick, add the masthead fiddles to it, drill a hole to keep it in place, paint it 9 coats of two pot epoxy and be done with it.
