John Apps a Jester Challenger is nominated for Sailor of the Year for tthe British Yachting Awards.

He is not (yet) a junky but the Jester Challenge is not far from the Junk rig world (Jester, Mingming, Golden dragon...).

John has, I think, four Jester Challenge in his background and he was the only challenger to arrive in Newport in 2026. The 2026 édition was very difficult. 

I know John very well, we sailed the Jester Challenge together twenty years ago,  and his nomination is very well deserved.

I would ask anyone to vote for him to support the Jester Challenge and indirectly the Junk rig community.
