    Thanks Hazel!

I really enjoy your channel BTW!

The boat is not mine yet ...let's see.

Do you know if your masthead fittings are the stock ones from Freedom? Or have they been changed for the conversion to junk?

    Thanks!

    Hi :)

I‘m really happy with Alanouwoly, she sails so well! You‘ve got a great boat on your hands.

Sally and Steve did the conversion before I bought her, so I‘m sure they could give you more helpful info :)

And , thinking out loud here , I am sure I will need to fill all the old hardware holes on the  masts ... and hoping the holes won't weaken the sticks at all.

    Hi everyone,

I am starting to look at a Freedom 28 Cat Ketch  that I'm thinking about buying . It is a wishbone boom model and so far  , the original sails look in very rough condition. That makes no difference to me because I would obviously be buying her to do a conversion.  She's a centerboard version. I am seeing her in person next week , but so far , from pictures , the Carbon Fiber masts look to be in good shape ....and painted white. My questions for the group are:

    1. aside from sails , boom , yard and battens , what else would the conversion entail?

    2. will a new masthead fitting need to be fabricated?

I've watched a bunch of Alanouwoly's videos on youtube and she has had some incredible adventures on pretty much the exact same boat.

    Thanks.
