Good morning all, we are at the Black sea preparing the ship for the splash...

We have great vids, 7 and counting... I love the latest vids of Tony and Hazel because they selfied them selves sailing, beautiful stuff, thanks guys.

As Kevin mentioned above it's simple, and since we are members of the JRA we are all Junk Riggers!

So, let's talk about the final Video for a bit. A colourful Junk Rig compilation of the community inorder to celebrate diversity. That's it, getting to know each other and spread the word, Junks are great!

Bottom line, we would like more info, so, a nother way members could take part would be by sending in images of their ships showing the rig, these images could be added into the video inorder to enhance interest and keep viewers watching...

So we want your help, let's make a great vid, send us a minute of your time in a selfie vid, or send us your best Photos, and don't forget to add your name and your boats name, a happy crew on a Junk is a priceless image, a nother of the ship, and surely 1 of the sail...

    Thank you

    Keep Junking

Personally, I don't think of myself as a 'junk rigger', but as a junkie. I am, after all, addicted to the rig!

Thanks to those of you who have already participated in this project, we have a nice handful of friendly and interesting little videos. Our aim is to gather them and publish them shortly, and we have a couple more promised to go in.

    If you haven’t participated yet…

well you definitely still can and we’d love to have you do so. What we need is for you to point your mobile phone at yourself and talk for 20 to 60 seconds only about who you are, where you are, what sailing you do, in what boat, and say something also about why the junk for you, or some particular memory or experience of the junk rig.  Then send it all to chair@junkrig.org.  In theory it should only take a minute or two, but you might want to make a retake or two, but either way it’s not gonna take a lot of time, and it might be a bit of fun.

[corrected] It’ll only take a minute or two, but you might want to make a retake or two, but either way it’s not gonna take a lot of time, and it might be a bit of fun.

So hope to hear from you soon.

Join the JRA video project - “We are junk Riggers” - Rael Dobkins introduces the whole here:  CLICK HERE

Basic Idea is simple:  do a selfie video, 20 seconds to a minute or two, talking about you and your boat or the boats you sail in, and send it to us at chair@junkrig.org. And we will compile them to put on the JRA YouTube channel so that people around the world can get to know their fellow junk-riggers.

You don’t have to own a junk rig boat - by all means send us a message if you’ve some junk rig experiences you’d like to share.
