Just a great day, effortlessly slicing the element...

Rig driving well, I hope it gets bigger, though lots to consider b4 changing anything, lots to learn too....

    2nd reef in a blow....

The Dart system, we stitched this sail in an hour! sailing to windward heavily reefed, moving well, and close enough to come in. I'm very pleased, too much camber, but since I don't like beating, this could be the rig I wanted....

I believe there are no mistakes, only conclusions... And you never failed till you quit!

    Nice work Rael.

Do you have a video of a shunt at sea?

Thanks Mark, I will shoot one soon and add it in.

Patrick also asked for one, so I'll have to get on it...

Good boat though, and great rig...

As a beautiful day gets ugly, our junk shows it's true colours....

Finally tested! The video says it all, nothing to add...

Learning the strings, and coming to terms....

I'm very pleased, half wind speed is pretty good, probably more canvas? But later on...

Hi Rael, very happy to see you sailing! I watched most of your building series and greatly enjoyed it. In addition to being well suited to your vessel, the junk rig is well suited to a free spirit such as yourself! I'm looking forward to more sailing and cruising videos.

Thank you very much Maxime, I love my rig, I wish it was bigger, it was planned to be 20 square meters, but I got alarmed by how difficult it was to shunt when I raised the mast, so I cut off 90 cm, bringing me down to 18...

At sea Shunting is easy, now I'm sorry and a little slow, yet I still have to sail down wind where I believe she will fly away. Also the lumpy Black Sea shakes the wind out of her junk, a big problem for all sailors here.

I'm happy for now, it's been a long road, still testing... Time will tell.

A lot of respect for your achievment.

    Really love the "unconventional" way.

I wish we can soon see a video of how to shunt your junk rigged proa.

Nice sailing ground you have there!

Thanks Patrick, will get on it, a Shunting vid coming your way...

Today again was great sailing, still going through the trial period, lots to learn and understand.

    Keep Junking man
