    Welcome in. I am pretty new myself... and asking lots of dumb questions too. I am making my questions hard to answer by being picky about where the mast may be allowed to reside.

    Right now, I am getting to know our boat as it is to make sure current balance is as good as people have suggested. It will be a while before I can collect all the parts I need anyway and assemble them. This will give me time for design steps.

    Just wanted to drop a line saying hello. 

    I just bought a Freedom 40 from Mike and Debbie Lyons - more accurately their daughter - and knock me down with a feather I find myself having made the decision to re-rig her as a junk. 

    This website and community is absolutely amazing and I am educating myself furiously! 

    I shall be asking questions :)
