David T's profile has lots of photos and if you rummage around beyond the Home Page under Junk Information, or Members' Area/Documents, you will find more information from David. He has problems using a keyboard these days, sotry to do as much homework as you can before conacting him. He cirumnavigated Ireland in Weaverbird - no mean achievement, single-handed, and an endorsement for the rig.
Thank you for your response Annie.
I won't be contacting anyone directly uninvited or if I'm stuck after lots of searching first.
I've seen Davids pictures of Weaverbird and found his outline sketch of the boat and rig. I'm sure that information will come in handy. At the moment I'm digesting everything I can read and watch. It's great to know his boat was as capable as it is. I'm on the east coast of the UK. My closest stretch of water is the Humber before I even get near the sea.
I'm actually at my boat for the first time in months today. The idea of a junk rig has given me some much needed enthusiasm for the project. Currently having to deal with a seized swing keel right now.
I've got my drawing pad and tracing paper to start sketching though.
It's been great just finding this forum and I've been reading about the voyages of mingming and Roger Taylor. It's actually nice reading about a simpler take on sailing after getting caught up in other groups/forums where many people have a lot of money to burn.
