Bonjour
The semaine du golfe du Morbihan junket was a great time. We were 5boats but not at the same time.
We started with two boats Circé and Mingming.
Lexia was on her way from Great Britain and Paradox was dealing with engine issue in St Jean Croix de vie.
At the Ile d'Arz huge picknick, Jan joined us with his tender equipped with an alibut inspired sail. It is simple and smart.
Paradox arrived on Wenesday and Lexia on Friday.
The weather was fine and almost all the time suny but the northern winds were a bit fresh.
On saturday, we avoided the Grande Parade as it was headwind in spring tides. Tacking in huge tide turbulences in company of more than one thousand boats seamed a bit risky. So we departed one hour ahead. We arrived at the Ile d'Arz to participate to the JRA AGM. After supper we used Mingming as a sailing dingy to bring the crews back onboard. A great moment.
During the week Circé demonstrated that a modern junk rig on a performant hull can perform as well as bermudian rigged boats.
Amicalement
