Congratulations Paul. Back where La Chica belongs. Enjoy the moment and hope you have fair winds and calm seas.

Gary, your guess is as good as mine but I used the same simple shape on Aphrodite and Carl never reported any problems... I'll know soon enough!

Thanks David, I'm trying for the junket but I am somewhat doubtful that I'll make it. I suspect it will  take me another week to get LC reasonably shipshape and sailable. Once that happens, I'll also work towards getting some decent photo's of her sailing. I'll be meeting up with David Thatcher (and Annie also) sometime soon even if I do not make the Junket and that should provide some photo opportunities.

BTW, I checked LC's trim today with a level, she's floating perfectly. Theres still anchor gear to come aboard (goes just ahead of the forward coachroof ending) but the diesel tanks are empty (200Lt) and the full set of house batteries are not installed. So I think she will continue to trim pretty much as she is now,

A strong contender for May BOTM, I reckon, if we can see LC with her sails hoisted.

I'm going to use this thread to document progress in getting LC sailing again. No doubt there will be diversions to other forums but I'll try make this the primary thread.

LC was relaunched yesterday after her long and extensive refit. Photo's will be coming but for now you can view the fun via three videos that I have posted on YouTube:

I must thank Annie and Marcus who have supported and assisted me in every way they could. Finer examples of the term "good friends" would be hard to find.

Thank you Annie and Marcus and also thank you to the many others who helped to make this day possible. You know who you are.

Details will be coming as I find time to post and no doubt Annie will also be able to fill in the story.
