Kingfisher 26, junk rig converted and extensive customization.

Hull stripped back and treated for osmosis and lovingly painted last season.

Volvo Penta MD6A engine, top end rebuilt last month new gaskets etc.

Deck has been modified for extra storage (mingming 1 style)

Internal cabin extensively modified to make boat more suited for single hand sailing Bigger galley more storage.

Home made wind vane self steering and powered auto helm.

Depth finder. a few anchors loads of spares.

    Folding plastic dinghy included.

This boat needs a loving home.

Memory foam cushions need upholstered and the deck has been primed but not 'toplacked'. I have the paint but figure as selling the boat new owner can have final say on color and maybe have a bit of a bonding experience with the boat while painting it.

    SOLD

I had saved a great shot of Sui some time ago.
Now if only she could be "teleported" to South Africa.

Zoe, one of the best things you can do, is what you just have done: make a comment on your own posting to bring it to the top of Recent Posts again.  A lot of people can't be bothered to mine the individual fora.

It also might be worth contacting people who have commented on other Kingfishers for sale, to see if they are interested in yours or might know someone who is.  After all, if you can't help other members of the JRA, why bother joining?

She looks a fine boat. I'm sorry that you are having to part with her, but hope you find a good steward soon, who will take her over and enjoy her.

    Thanks for advice and comments.

She is indeed a fine boat and also hope she finds a good home soon.

I think I have basically even though advertising boat still been on fence about whole thing so not been putting much effort into it I suspect.

Time for that to change though :)

I could not seam to work out how to make the photos non horizontal even though they where not like that in preview. Apologies if that is annoying.

Hi there....I could be interested on Zoe. Unfortunatelly I live in Ibiza, Spain, so it might take me a moment to go check her out, and if only we would agree on terms , I should wait until at least May, June to take her down. Do you have any additional photos of the interior after the painting and comments on that regard? Also additional uto pilot wind pilot runninf etc. How is the osmosis job coming along?

I AM PLANNING TO TRAVEL TO THE peninsula to look at a couple of boats Dec. 1, but I might be interested on postponing and visit or  commit to Zoe if convinced.

    Hi Toni

Osmosis treatment went fine it only had small dimples they where all picked out dried out and filled so should be all good for a while. both keels where both taken back to metal and properly painted as well so should be great for a few years. The deck is only primed as I figured would leave it to the new owner to choose the colour. I do have a tin of platinum topcoat.

Boat is at Cardiff bay yacht club and mooring fees paid up till January so no mega rush.

Wind vane has been removed at the moment and needs a new bit of wood on the fitting . it was getting bashed about a lot in stormy weather in port so figured would leave it off for now.

I also have a founding plastic dinghy that came with the boat.

I will try and get down with a better quality camera than the one on my phone and take some more photos. My proper camera was stolen and my phone just takes fuzzy horrible things.

    Will email phone number.

    Thanks for interest.
