Well done Gary, I can still remember the raw excitement on the day I launched Arion in 1996.  I left the crowd ashore with a couple of crates of local sparkling wine and took my two assistants for a quick jaunt under power, during which we drank a $120 bottle of Moet.  A fine French champagne and it tasted like nectar from the gods.  I trust your launching will also be memorable and that our two ships will cross tacks somewhere in 2013.

Yee-hah!!  Attaboy Gary!  You must be so excited.  I shall toast your success with a drop or two of NZ Pinot Gris.  It's great to see all these additions to the fleet going in the water.

    Best of luck, mate.

Thank you Peter. It's 2.40am and the brain wants to sort details!
Gary, unfortunately there is a bridge I have to go under before I can step the mast. So it may be a week before the mast goes up. There's still a little bit of rigging to do anyway.

Good luck Gary. I am really envious. Malliemac sits in her cradle outside my workshop waiting for some dry days to finish off exterior work before launching. Then she will be in Preston marina which is a ten minute walk from my workshop so no point in making more work for myself. Looks like I may be the last of the present group of boat builders to launch. I hope all goes well for you and you have a peaceful first night afloat.

Well folks this time tomorrow night I should be sitting back with a glass of single malt and enjoying my first night afloat. Coming ready or not!

Congrats, Gary. I think we can let you get away with that 'shout'! Can't see wet AF being a problem - people in the UK often af between tides. Might be worth checking with the paint manufacturer though.

Started on the antifoul today and it should be finished tomorrow, apart from a few bits that will have to be done just below it hits the water on Thursday. Just have to hope wet antifoul doesn't mind a bit of water. I'm going to use Lanolin grease on the prop and shaft. Not long now.

The name and port went on today. I'm very happy with how it looks.
