After testsailing a JR converted Victoire 26, following Alan Mulholland with his WaveRover and Paul Schnabel's blog on his experience with his JR Ilvy I decided to convert my Nordship 808 to JR.

I do have as a mast, an aluminum flagpole 11,5m long, 150mm diam. and a wall thickness of 4.5 to 5mm.

The original sail area of my boat (family rig) is ~ 42 m2, I would think for my single handed ambitions JR with 35m2  would be sufficient.

Roughly calculated I want to place the mast 1m75 from the bow.

I can work the complete conversion in my premises incl. sewing with a professional taylor and machine.

Any information about my project are welcome, particularly about sail design etc. are appreciated
