    Not me. Hmm. Thinking. I can't yet imagine a benefit, but I can imagine chafe. Junk battens are generally stiff and well-attached at both ends, and I think they cause less trouble than bermudan battens in pockets, flexing in the sail, rubbing. Hmm.

    Has anyone tried using short battens to give more support to the leading edge of a standard (single sided - thin edge) sail?  I am thinking, say, 3 battens 300mm long.
