A Junk Rig Glossary was developed, quite a long time ago now, but it seems to have fallen off the website menu. However, I found it again, here, so it hasn't completely evaporated - and yet I'm getting an "Access denied" message. I've managed to export it to PDF, though. I think it ought to be reinstated.

A great starting point nowadays in a search is the JRA Knowledgebase which gives four results for the word glossary, including the one David points out here.  The original is also available by clicking “Junk Information” on the website menu.  There is so much material now that we have nearly 1,500 articles indexed in the knowledgebase.  If we had a knowledgeable volunteer we could look into whether we could also index some of the forum discussions.

Thank you for this good suggestion. I will try to work on this. However today Saturday April 19 the website is for me almost unusable.  It is very slow and then times out. If I try the same page three times it occasionally it works normally for a few minutes (which I how I hope to post this).  I'm on a super fast fibre internet connection.  Unfortunately, host WildApricot does not offer weekend support, especially on Easter weekend.  --Webmaster

Even though having worked for an Australian company for several years, my English rusted in with the years.

Is there any list for the abbreviations used here and in the Practical Junk Rig?

Would make some of the descriptions rather understandable for aliens like me...;-)
