Probably that I suffer of too much liking pubs and restaurants, and seeing what life is like away from home !

Patrick, the link between extended anchoring and enjoying pubs and restaurants is a reliable dinghy.

Hi Annie, you made a very good point of course. Anchoring is an idea to exploit more consistently than I usually do.

Patrick, the cheapest marina fees are at anchor!  That is how we have always held our Kiwi junkets, and we get together on each other's boats, not in expensive bars and restaurants ashore.  The biggest boat (Paradox!!!) gets to be host and we all bring food and drinks to share.  This way the boats are altogether and we can sail in company to another anchorage, should we wish, which makes for great photo opportunities.

Hi Thomas, and all other junkists !

I immediately subscribe to join your private junket in 2026 !

I agree with your opinion about the Semaine du Golfe, since anyway they have refused to accept Paradox in any flottilla this year.

Hopefully your own event will be held at a moment when there are not too much people and the marinas fees are cheap :)

And tell me how I can help for the organization (although I'm not living in Britany...)

Hello Éric, I would have been happy to see you more than the little I crossed Ming Ming's wake before the grande parade.

The heavy organisation of "la semaine du golfe" is too much for me, I didn't like the program they imposed us two years ago. This year I preferred to sail solo, between Houat and Belle-Île. Between Sauzon and la Teignouse, 5.6 knots average on a beam reach ! Not bad for my little Circé.

I'm more interested in small junket, with just junk amateurs. It would be a pleasure to meet again Patrick, Richard, you and anyone else next time !

    Cordialement,

    Thomas

    Merci Annie

It was in Mingming's spirit : a minimalist Junket.

It was a junket as I had a crew on Mingming.

Eric, I am so sorry that you were the only junk in Morbihan, after all the work you have put into trying to persuade some junkies to turn up.  It was ever thus, I'm afrad: people talk the talk but they don't walk the walk and those of us who have organised junkets get used to being frustrated and disappointed with the outcomes.  I'm afraid I've simply given up.

I enjoyed  the write-up of your new sail and look forward to reading an account in the magazine, when you sail up to Scotland.

    Bonjour

Initially four boats were planed but at the end, for several reasons, onlt Mingming partipated to the Semaine du Golfe du Morbihan.

An article has been written on Mingming by Catherine Rozach journalist at the TELEGRAMME newspaper.

I added a courtoisie translation for the few who are not familiar with French.

    Eric
