Hi All, it's been ages since I've posted here. I wanted to bring things up to date on my Classic Irish Trawler refit and rig to Junk.

I began work on the vessel over three years ago, and still have a large amount to do. I've replanked her from the waterline up, put a new 1 ½" ply deck on, and built a New pilot house from oak frames lined with ¾" ply. We've just installed our new Yew table a friend made for us and butcher block counter tops. Below, I've roughed out the main cabin and head, under a section of the deck we raised, and mostly completed an after cabin with room for 5, a table and movie viewing projection wall . I had new fuel tanks built and installed them, and have been out and about enjoying her when I can under power.

you can see progress here: Whaleheart

I had Alan Boswell, do up plans, of which I think looking cracking. Any thoughts from members of any noticeable concern, I'd be grateful to hear

I'm building the Main mast at present with douglas fir. I have long clean lengths. We are building it hollow. Cutting of the planks begins next week. Exciting stuff!
