I plan on building her, but I will not be able to start construction for at least a year as I have too many other projects to finish before then and I also need to sell Arcadian in order to fund the construction. I have already found a source for the framing timber and have identified a Chinese diesel engine that would suit her, the one I fitted in Arcadian is from the same company and has been reliable and is an excellent product, it was purchased at a very competitive price direct from China.  Any constructive comments would be very much appreciated and please comment on any aspects that you may see as faults in the design as I will be fine tuning it in the coming months.

I anticipate that the boat itself will weigh just under two tons. The water ballast will be an additional two tons making a total weight of four tons.

    Thanks, David.

I have just posted a concept design for a 28 foot Junk Rigged, water ballasted, leeboard, Barge Yacht in the Members Area/your files/Drawings/David Webb's boat designs.

Any feedback or comments would be welcome.
