Beside us in Whangarei, New Zealand, is a nicely refurbished Vertue for sale.
A very good candidate for conversion to Junk Rig, I reckon.
Carvel-planked, simply set up with almost no systems, and a hand-crank Bukh 10 engine.

Contact me by email for the owner's contacts, or post your interest here.

I'm not connected with the yacht or the owner.
I just admire her every single day.

    Cheers,
    Kurt

Hi Jonny - Kurt is away cruising. I'm sure he'll get back to you when he can.

    Hello,

In New Caledonia, and ashore, but I think I have Brian's phone number on the boat. His 'Vertue of Kent' was still for sale when we left Whangarei.

Jonny, you could try ringing Whangarei Marina on +64 9 4382033 and asking Brian (different Brian) or Sharron for Brian's number. You may use my name, and mention the JRA connection.

I'll try to remember to bring the owner's number ashore next time, and post it here.

    She is a little sweetheart!

    Cheers,
    Kurt

    Hello,

'Vertue of Kent' is owned by a gentleman named Brian.

[Webmaster edit: I've deleted the phone no. that Kurt listed as this is a public fora. I've emailed it to Jonny. If anyone else wants it please contact me or Kurt.]

He would like to sell the boat, assuming he hasn't yet.
Please let him know straight-up whether you're quite serious, or just chatting. He's a very nice guy.

    Cheers,
    Kurt
