I have my eye on another boat, several actually but one in particular, and have decided to sell Tystie for $NZ60000. I plan to attend the JRA AGM in May and would like to sell Tystie in order to be free of the responsibility of her ownership while enjoying a tour of Europe and the UK and making the purchase of another boat.

There have no significant changes to Tystie since she was sold to me by David other than attending to deferred maintenance which includes: topsides, deck and cockpit repaint, new 60W alternator, some new solar panels and regulator, new prop shaft, new remotely greased shaft seal,  new cutlass bearing and a reconditioned Kiwiprop with larger blades. The boat has just had her annual haul out and is back on her berth in Whangarei, NZ

I can be contacted by email sea2birds@gmail.com or telephone +64 2108504583. NZ presently 13 hours ahead of London, please, no calls at two o’clock in the morning.

With Tystie and La Chica currently for sale anyone who wants a well sorted junk rig offshore cruising yacht should be heading to New Zealand. La Chica for those who want a rugged go anywhere cruising yacht, and Tystie equally capable, but rather more sprightly. Footprints was also briefly for sale but has now sold. For the money being asked for both Tystie and La Chica there surely can be no better value for the money in terms of offshore cruising yachts.
