    Hi everyone,

I'm heading over to Europe in a week or so and going to check out a possible new boat ,

but , I thought that I'd just put this out there ... in the possibility that someone else may be considering selling.

I presently live in California , but travel for work and am looking to live and sail on a junk rigged boat somewhere in Southern Europe over the next few years. (obviously no place permanent .....that's what the boat is for!)

    Any ideas???

    thanks

    Jonny

p.s. I'll be in Spain , Portugal , The U.K. and Netherlands ...but can always jump on a Ryanair flight for an interesting boat.

    Hi Jonny

Take a bit of time to look through the back posts on this forum.  Some of the boats will probably still be for sale - Liz looked interesting.  A lot of members only visit the website occasionally.

    Good luck!

    Hi Jonny,

Have you seen the posts about us selling Alanouwoly, the Freedom 30 cat ketch that we hope to sell.  I can send you detailed specs and photos if you haven't considered her. She appears in several back issues of the JRA newsletter as we have owned her for about twenty years sailing around the Solent area.  We converted her sailing plan to JR some fifteen years ago but have decided we need a smaller boat that will be more convenient for the day-sailing that we are able to commit to.  Please get in touch via sallye.peake@btinternet.com if you are interested; the boat is currently ashore for the winter on the Isle of Wight.

Hello, there's a jonque de plaisance 12.50m on sale in France :

Bigger than what you want, but a good live-aboard.

Dear Jonny, I live in France, also looking for a 28-30 feet junk rigged. In case you find a pair of them, just let us know :)  I mean, if you find one you do not buy, hope that you will let us know.  All the best, Raymond

Hello, we have just put our steel hulled Triple Mast Chinese Junk on the market. At 54' she may be bigger than what you are looking for but I thought I would mention it.

She is called T'ai Shan and was built by A J Richardson and designed by Tom Colvin in the mid 1980's.

I have attached a picture, if you would like any more information then let me know and I can email you.

    Many thanks

    Rich
