This boat was originally built in the early sixties by the Dutch boat yard Kooijman and Devries.
She was professionally rebuilt/converted in 2003/2004 and after a trip through the French canals and a 7 year long stay in Corsica she is now at home in Brighton Marina. (We have lived aboard since 2004 when she was launched).
Her rather shallow draught and sturdy construction makes her ideal for coastal sailing and river/canal exploring. She is Junk rigged for ease of handling, all lines coming into the wheel house, therefore no going on deck for any sail manoeuvre. The aluminium mast is on tabernacle and can be lowered or raised by a single person in about 20minutes. Her engine is a 1600 Ford diesel (marinised by Lancing Marine) with 1800hours from new and a new gear box fitted in 2009.
    The electronic equipment includes:
    - GPS (Garmin 72 wired into boat 12v and fitted with USB plug)
    -fish finder (Garmin 100)
    -VHF ( Navicom 450 dsc)
    -Hand held VHF (Icom M31)
    -Navtex (target pro)
    -Auto pilot (Simrad WP5000)
-battery charger (Sterling 4 step smart charger+ Sterling alternator regulator)
    -inverter (Cotec 600w)

The starter battery and the two domestic batteries (110ah each) are totally separated but can be linked in case of emergency.

The hull sits on two hollow bilge keels ( 4mm plate on a 25mm sole, filled with steel punchings and wax-oil), the flat bottom of the boat is a 10mm thick plate, the sides and deck 4mm and the upper structure 3mm thick. The wheel-house is a timber structure with ply and epoxy skin, with double glazed windows on teak frames. The cabin port-holes are also double glazed.
During re-fit the entire hull was sand blasted then epoxy coated inside and out. The inside was then sprayed with polyurethane foam. The interior finish is painted ply with solid oak trim and a unique olive ash table. The heads are equipped with a large holding tank and there is only one though hull fitting (above water line). The cooling water for the engine comes from a well and there is a “prop-well” to clear the prop from inside the boat in waters where you wouldn’t like to dive. The galley has a two ring and oven Smev gas cooker and a 12v front loaded built in fridge. There are two water tanks (300L each) and a Nature pure water filter on one tap of the custom made kitchen sink. When not plugged in, a Reflex heater keeps the boat dry and very warm. We have been in temperatures down to minus 10 and have never been cold or suffered any condensation.
Although she is only 28 ft (on deck) she is a very roomy boat for two to live aboard with a lot of storage space for both personal things and  food stores. The galley is suitable for serious cooking with lots of prep surfaces. There is room to dine in the wheelhouse with all round vews and down below enough sitting for six. The exterior and interior have been built to a very good standard and kept in very good condition. All the soft furnishings are clean and the foam cushions firm including the mattress.

And the asking price is £20000.

Please - and I keep saying this - if you want to sell your boat, say how much you want for it!!!

A few photographs - in your profile - would help, too - the little thumbnail isn't enough.  Matilda sounds like a truly delightful boat - ideal for a liveaboard.  I know several people looking for something similar, but I will not tell anyone about it if I don't know how much it's likely to cost.
