You got CAN $4000 ($4623 kiwi, £2558) to spend?  You might be interested in this: Sharpie

    Now there's a boat..
    Like the dinghy.
But we "gumtree'd" a little glass catamaran dinghy yesterday for $180.
    Pleased with that :)

This is the one featured in "Sailing Back In Time", along with China Cloud, isn't it?

The other junk in "sailing back in time" is "luna moth", it's an open boat, a lapstrake hulled open, formerly owned by Dag Goering of hiddenplaces.net and last seen around Nanaimo.

This here "Luna" for sale in Sitka is one of the Alaksa Zeiger's boats:

Lovely Alaska-tough utility cruiser and if I had $4000 spare I'd go buy it and sail it down here over the summer. Something like my dream-boat, I love the Zeigers, lots of unique ideas. Dave Zeiger's new boat "slacktide" is an evolution of Luna's design ideas, exemplified in his "triloboat" concept. Most of the designs are intended for junk rigs. He's also got plans available for an updated Luna-class design.
