Project boat, too far away for me. Could this boat be fairly easily converted to JR?

Yes, very easily. I converted a '79 Freedom 40 center cockpit cat ketch two years ago for my daughter. Since the boat is already a cat ketch the masts are already in the right place, though they are much taller than needed.

The boat for $52K is in California. The original link was in RI and as of last weekend it was under contract according to the broker. There's another one, very nice, for sale in EU (I think) for $79K. Apparently the RI boat was a bit of a project, but it looked like it would be okay to get going and work at the same time. I just never got an answer on that since it was under contract.
