Someone said in my recent Tall Ships video post, that they enjoyed the shots of ZEBEDEE and would have liked to see more of her.  Well, just for that guy, and anyone else interested, I took some video on my cell phone in early January when I rowed over one morning for a chat & cup of tea with Alan Martiensen, the owner of ZEBEDEE.  A delightful chap indeed, and having circumnavigated mostly solo, and engineless, obviously a heck of a good sailor.

Unfortunately, a lot of the video I filmed that morning with Alan is ruined, because during part of the on deck tour and also when we went below to continue, I somehow had switched the phone to portrait mode, and while the chat is interesting, the non stop visuals of my chest ruin the whole spectacle!

Anyway, I have cobbled together what I could, so for those that are interested, here it is: https://youtu.be/pFnqUl6eybM

Zane!!!  That guy was me!  I have bought a badger but it is stuck in a lake in Vermont while I am in another state by the sea, hence my hunger for all things Badger while I plan!

Thanks for sharing.  Alan is a legend and has kindly communicated many details by email to me so far, so great to see glimpses of his boat which really has done some remarkable voyaging.  I don't have much in the way of anchoring gear yet (no windlass and a small bow roller) so closeups were useful.

As an Aussie I was appalled to hear you say "dickhead" and had to replay it 3 times before I realized you said "decade".  60 years and I still can't speak Kiwi!

And from an artistic angle I thought the close up of Alan's speedos drying on the lifeline was special at the beginning.

Nice to see the other junks like Tystie and Speedwell at anchor around you in a beautiful spot.

Many thanks for taking the trouble to share this.  Made my day.
