Wonderful.  More stuff about women sailing junks single-handed.  There are more and more of us.  I am hoping that Kiti, who bought Rob and Maren's litte boat, will be posting on forum about her adventures as she learns to sail on her own.  It think it really empowers women who are nervous about sailing on their own, to know that others are doing it.

Of course, Shirley leaves the rest of us far in her wake.

    Two very different articles.

Shirley, an experienced and skilled sailor, calmly explaining why the JR makes so much sense.

Janine, bubbling over with enthusiasm as she finds the JR and realises that it's going to be the way she can get into sailing - such a positive vibe that it brought The £200 Millionaire to mind.

    Thanks for the link, Shemaya!

Two wonderful articles, thanks for sharing, Shemaya.  Shirley Carter is one of my heroes.  She inspires me to try for greater things.  She is exactly the sort of character who filled my teenage years with glee, when they sailed into my home port of Durban each summer from all over the world, in their simple, modest little boats.  Then they sailed away again a few weeks later, bound for the Cape of Good Hope, without fuss or fanfare.

TWO nice junk rig articles have just come out in the January 2020 issue of Southwinds Sailing Magazine, both by JRA members. You can see the magazine, for free, here.

    So nice to see!
