For a change of pace I thought I'd post a link to a short video of my first spring sail in Pango. (I know we are well into spring, and the weather has been absolutely rubbish most weekends this past month).

If it's spring that means summer's coming...bring it on!
(In the southern hemisphere at least).

Thanks to Graeme K who came along for the sail and was good company.  My first time to Islington (Drunken) bay, where square riggers used to hole up to dry out inebriated crew.

ps. Graeme did take the helm a number of times even if it doesn't show that in my edited video!  A fine helmsman too is Graeme.

That was better than just about all the movies I have watched recently on Netflix, in fact it is right up there with ,'Fantail' goes to Hollywood. It looks like a great day out sailing. I don't quite know what has happened to the weather since, but those easy spring days are in short supply here in NZ.

    High praise indeed!  Thanks David.

Though I don't think I will be giving Francis Ford Coppola a run for his money just yet, I do hope to make more videos as my evolution from landlubber to sailor develops over the next few years.

Pic is Pango as taken from Marcus' Freebie back around Easter.
