    Dear Members

It is not rare that we receive compliments from current or retiring members but this must be one of the nicest ones.  I need to share it with you as we all should feel honoured and humbled by compliments like this.

Thank you all in JRA  who made it so special for Richard and us all.

    ------------------------------------------------

Because my life has taken a different direction it is with sadness that I curtail my membership in the JRA.  Prudent stewardship of my time and resources dictates this direction.

My association with the JRA and fellow members has been one of the great rewards in sailing life.  You all have been a constant reward in my education in sailing, designing, dreaming.

Although my association with clubs, in the sailing world has been limited, please know that I have the highest respect and the deepest gratitude for the many ways the Board’s executive decision are made.  Personally, although separated by distance, you have made me feel at home and apart of a well run and conscientious fellowship.
    Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Richard Wm. Hicks
