    I think Roger still holds the copyright to this story.  I believe journals only buy the right to publish once.  I certainly retain the right to republish any of my work elsewhere, and I often see almost the same article appear in journals in different countries.  YM, however, would own the copyright to the particular layout of this piece, so you couldn't just copy it.  They own the layout, Roger owns the words and pics.  You may have to talk to both YM and Roger.

    There is a brilliant article, with lots of photos, by Roger Taylor in the January 2019 edition of Yachting Monthly, detailing his recent voyage to the Arctic on Mingming 11.
