    Thank you David.

The Atlantic Islands would be my book then.

This would be a good way to learn about crossing

the ocean without going all the way across.

For passage planning information for absolutely everywhere (except the very high latitudes, which are deliberately excluded), it's Jimmy Cornell's World Cruising Routes.

But perhaps you're not really ready to think about sailing absolutely everywhere just yet. I recommend that you go to the RCC Pilotage Foundation. You could look first at The Atlantic Crossing Guide, and The Atlantic Islands. But have a good look through the Catalogue. There are pilot books for everywhere you're likely to want to go, and they're all written by top-notch cruising sailors who know what they're talking about.

    Hallo Everyone.

I wrote on this forum about a year ago asking a few questions about junk rigs and so on. Some of you recommended some books to read and I now read them all !

Books about stormy wheather, single handed sailing and so on.

I am just now reading the third MINGMING which really is great reading.

And I am still looking for a low cost Junk Rigged sailboat.

When I read about the trouble some have to change sails and reef

when alone, I cannot imagine setting out along on something else than a junkrigged sailboat.

To follow the tracks of MingMing towrds the north seems very apealing but perhaps I should first try to sail to the Azores, the climate seems more friendly.

I am now looking for a book that recommend when to go where around the world, is there anyone book that is better than others ?

Thank you. Raymond. Swede living in the south of France.
