Quite, and hopefully Jerry will help me make the transition from interested party to lucky soul!

It's that or I get the stick welder out and make use of those Tom Thumb 24 plans.

Yes it's heartbreaking that it's on the other side of the planet. Bizarrely, when I decided to do this a year or so ago it became apparent that a junk rigged TT24 was a very good way to go. I took a year of welding classes and was primed to go until somehow a meme got into my head that all bluewater boats really should be an old GRP one with thick, thick layers of fibreglass. So my plan got parked and now here are examplars of both for sale; tantalizingly out of reach.

This is an absolutely beautiful boat in every way. The engineering of the modifications is inspiring. The quality and detail of the new construction makes her a work of fine art.

To me the overall character was summed up very well in this caption from the photo gallery:

    "Folkboat on steroids"

Thank you for sharing so many photos and details, Jerry. The new owner of this boat will be very fortunate.

    Scott.

Yes I'm over the moon !

It may take a while but since Jerry knows so much about it all and I essentially want what he was aiming to do, I'm going to continue to fit out the boat in the same vein.

Jerry has done all the hard work and I am deeply grateful to him for giving me this opportunity.

If anyone has any advice, please advise away!

    Hello Paul,

Is it possible that you won't have moved her from Ardrossan before the third week of August? I wouldn't want to make suggestions without seeing her,  but there maybe some things that I could suggest if I were on the spot, to optimise her to undertake the voyage to New Zealand.

Where do you have to get her to?  If she is / can be made in sailing trim, I am sure a few crew could be found.   Hope I would be available to do a leg.

    Hi David

I was hoping to move her before then so that I can finish the work that needs to be done before the weather takes a down turn. That being said, it's entirely possible she will still be there given the road transport prices currently and I would love to have your thoughts.

I'll keep you posted - thanks!
